About The
Steven Reynolds Band
One might expect every band from Houston, Texas to
sound the way this band from a city famous for its
Honky-tonks, dance halls and oil refineries does; yet The
Steven Reynolds Band, in their first Independently-released
EP, have somehow fused all the elements of urban Texas into a
unique and original style that distinguishes itself as sharply
as a Pasadena breeze.
Combining rhythms and harmonies reminiscent of early Western
Swing with the beer and sweat-drenched feel of Gilley’s,
Steven Reynolds music is steeped in tradition yet their
songwriting prowess has yielded songs that are lyrically
relevant to today’s listener. Raw, fresh and tasteful—the
way any good Texan likes it—the music of The Steven Reynolds
Band is sure to make an impact in the overproduced,
industry-crafted and often predictable world of contemporary
country music.
