June 17, 2010 – This February (2011), Houston will be revving with
excitement as the 33rd Corvette & Chevy Expo (www.corvettechevyexpo.com
) brings Texas’ largest all indoor Chevy show and swap meet to the
George R. Brown Convention Center. This family-friendly event running
Saturday, Feb. 12 thru Sunday, Feb. 13 will feature hundreds of custom and
classic automobiles, more than 50 vendors, car exhibitions in historic
Houston, Texas. Top vendors already
committed to the Corvette & Chevy Expo in Houston include Lone Star Caliper Company, Vette
Vues Magazine, Thompson Astro Tops, Al
Knoch Interiors, Corvette Clocks by Roger, Richey Collision Inc , Keen Parts,
Inc, Vette Brakes &
Products, Advanced Racing Dynamics, Corvette Center, Corvettes
of Houston, West Coast
Corvettes, D.S. Vettes, RSR Performance, LLC, and Kwiklift
to name a few. Many of the South’s premier classic cars will
also be featured in the all indoor venue. “As car
enthusiasts ourselves, we wanted to make this a memorable event not only
for participants but for exhibitors as well,” said Bill Wolf, Vette Vues
Magazine editor and publisher and the event’s organizer. “Corvette & Chevy Expo
has become an annual family-friendly event in Houston and surrounding
areas on the auto show circuit and this year it will celebrate its 33rd
year.” Downtown Houston is
vibrant, eclectic and safe. Hundreds
of restaurants span the spectrum from fine dining to casual take-out, and
thousands of hotel rooms are within walking distance of the convention
center. While at the
show, you can catch a quick game, as the downtown convention center is next to Minute Maid
Park and the Toyota Center. You
are also close to the Theater District and within walking distance of the
downtown shopping district. The newly
constructed Convention Center features first-class amenities.
In all, 130,000 square feet of indoor space will be available to
exhibitors throughout the two-day event. Spectator fee
is $15 and $25 for the weekend and children under 12 are free. Attendees
will see 175-plus show cars and more than 50 vendors inside the Convention
Center, this year’s event is expected to attract more than 25,000
attendees. There is live
entertainment through out the weekend including the Miss U.S.A. Swimsuit
contest on Sunday. There are
food concessions and as well as beer, wine and liquor available at the
show for a complete weekend of fun! The
festivities will culminate with an awards ceremony on Sunday, Feb. 13 at 5
p.m. on the Expo Stage. Vendor display
spaces inside the Convention Center range from $250 to $350 per space.
Indoor car display spaces are only $50 for both days. For more
